The Verdict 🐾
Ah, the charming Hawthorn, a delightful little shrub or tree that seems to have charmed my human subjects! Fear not, dear felines and their bewildered humans, for this plant is safe for us furry beings. Yes, Dr. Mittens approves this green companion, and I must say, it’s quite refreshing to find a plant that won’t send us dashing to the litter box!
The Taste Test
Now, one must ponder why a cat, such as myself, might find the Hawthorn appealing. Perhaps its delicate leaves look suspiciously like the delightful feather toys that humans dangle in front of us. Or could it be the enticing clusters of berries that dangle like juicy playthings? If only they wiggled, I’d be all over them! But alas, no moving parts here, just a rather green and innocent-looking plant. How disappointing!
The Puke Factor
Should you find your curious kitty indulging in a nibble of this Hawthorn, fret not! The worst you might experience is a rapid expulsion of lunch—though let’s be honest, we cats are the masters of such theatrics. A few extra hairballs may occur, but nothing that will send you scrambling for the pet emergency room. Just a little more reason to keep those tiny humans on their toes!
Human Instructions
For my dear human subjects, I have good news! You may allow this splendid plant to remain in your abode. It won’t harm us, and in fact, it might even offer a lovely excuse for me to lounge under its shade while I plot my next great adventure. Just remember, while I may find it amusing to investigate, I do prefer a nice catnip toy any day!
